I started Finding AJ in July 2020 when my mind was struggling to make sense of a world of chaos. 2020 is a hard enough year for everyone, but for an Autistic with bipolar disorder (and a slew of physical health issues), it has been overwhelming.
In the midst of a deep depression – not helped by the fact that I don’t deal with heat and can’t do much with quarantine – I started a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days which I intend to blog about.
I’m a 33-year-old agender person (they/them) who loves animals and art and photography and other cultures. I’ve traveled all over the world and yet live within miles of where I grew up. I have a dog named Luie and two cats named Zelda and Zayne.
The name Finding AJ comes from the fact that I feel lost in life right now. I grew up in a home where I never felt I could be myself. So I’m still figuring out who I am.
